Close your eyes.
Imagine that you are in a dark room.
There is a faint light outside, that does not reach you.
You have an uncontrollable urge of hunger and thirst. You are craving for one morsel of food and drops of water to move.
There is nobody to help you, no one to fulfill your needs.
You whimper hysterically.
Still no sounds, no responses.
Only your wailing voice to accompany you, dark and deep thoughts that do not let you sleep.
You try to lie down and rest but the loneliness kills you, the continuous craving of hunger and thirst makes you cry louder this time.
Tears are falling all the way to the dry Earth but all in vain.
You close your eyes,
You pray for death.
Now open your eyes.
Observe everything around you. You can inhale the fresh air, have your friends and family at a comfort of a call, your food is ready on the table and a cold bottle of water lies just a meter away.
Do you feel relieved?
Are you able to breathe and feel easy?
Do you consider yourself lucky?
If the answer to all the questions above was a YES, you experienced Life’s importance right now, at this very particular moment.
We all are living our lives, making choices every day and experiencing a variety of thoughts in our mind.
Some thoughts make us smile while some can make you cry even in a very happy moment.
A lot of us enjoy the happy moments along the journey and leave them there, but carry the negative experiences and drag them all our lives.
Let me tell you a real-life story. Recently, I saw a man begging on the streets. He was tall and healthy. He could easily work and earn an amount which could fill his stomach every day, but he chose to lie down on the streets, plead and raise money through donations.
Right opposite to the beggar’s spot was a small boy. He did not have legs and one eye was defective with an eye-band to cover it. He had a small piece of cloth and used to wipe the shoes of the people passing by for a very small amount.
He did not have a brush or a shoe polish, to begin with, but he had something which many of us do not have today, he had the power to Hustle. He chose to appreciate whatever life has given him and move on rather than cribbing and giving up.
We all live only once, and it is up to us to make it worth living.
Do you have a problem? Deal with it and let it go.
Is your life getting serious? Smile more.
Are you broke? Try harder and earn money.
” The solution to most of our problems lies in understanding it and making the first step. “
We need to start appreciating life.
We need to live the life we are gifted in the best possible way and make it worthy. We need to leave the burden of our problems and move on, to a happier and contented life.
So next time whenever it rains, dance openly in the showers.
Whenever you meet your good old friends, laugh at the top of your voice.
Whenever you feel sad or depressed cry your heart out but get up!
In the end, what matters in your life the most is YOU! So indulge in the habit of working hard and laughing harder, learn quickly and grow faster, love more and run farther.
“We have one life, one chance to prove.
One chance to sing, one chance to groove.”
